Terms of Service

Effective March 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of Vokl (“the app”, “the service”), operated by Vokl (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using Vokl, you agree to these terms.

1. Your Content

You own everything you record. Vokl does not claim any ownership or license over your recordings, transcriptions, or any other content you create using the app.

Your recordings are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to them.

2. Account

You need an account to use Vokl. You can sign in with your email address or phone number.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Beta Access

Vokl may operate under an invite-only beta. Access during beta is granted at our discretion and may be revoked at any time. Beta features may change, break, or be removed without notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose or to record others without their consent where required by law.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or circumvent the app's security or invite system.
  • Abuse the service in a way that degrades it for other users.
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

5. Microphone and Permissions

Vokl requires microphone access to function. By granting this permission, you acknowledge that the app will record audio only when you initiate a recording. We do not record in the background without your action.

6. Service Availability

We aim to keep Vokl available and working, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. Since recordings are stored locally, your data remains accessible even if our servers are down.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Vokl is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that recordings will never be lost, or that transcription and analysis features will be perfectly accurate.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vokl and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of recordings, data, or creative work.

9. Termination

You may stop using Vokl at any time by deleting the app. You can request account deletion by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with or without notice.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
